Google Docs has become ubiquitous. It’s also a work/productivity tool so the last thing you want is a disruption.
Simplest Method: Backspace/Delete
Select by dragging from top to bottom of the entire blank page.
Or you can simply select the bottom of the previous page.
Both will work … 👍
Press “Delete“ key on your keyboard.
Or Right Click > Delete.
Sometimes that might not work … try hitting backspace multiple times until the page gets removed.
This works for me most of the time.
But sometimes …
Sometimes it doesn’t! 👀
In that case try the following:
Change Page Margins
Go to File > Page Setup.
Go to Margins and change everything to 0.8 or lower.
Check if that resolved the issue. 🤔
Or maybe you have a large line spacing …
Worth checking, so do this:
Line Spacing Issue
Format > Line & Paragraph spacing > Custom Spacing
Change it to 1 and see if that helps.
Thanks buddy! 🙏
I was about to lose my mind over this!
Haha, you’re welcome.
It’s very common to face these kind of mini-issues while working in tools like Google Docs.
TIPs
•••
Preventing Blank Pages
If you find that your document has unnecessary blank pages, check for any extra line breaks or paragraph breaks that might be causing the issue.
Removing Headers and Footers
If headers and footers are causing issues with your page layout, you can remove them. Go to Insert > Header or Footer and then click on Header or Footer again to remove them.
Checking for Hidden Characters
Hidden characters like paragraph breaks or line breaks can sometimes cause blank pages. Use the Show all non-printing characters feature (found under the View menu) to identify and remove these characters.
